Message from Acting Director Vickie Goodwin

Vickie GoodwinAs many of you know, on July 15, 2008, John-Paul Chaisson Cardenas tendered his resignation as Executive Director of Social Justice Fund NW. The Board of Directors accepted his resignation.
During his tenure, John-Paul made positive contributions to our organization and the board and staff of Social Justice Fund NW wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Through this time of transition, the professionalism and dedication of our hard working staff and the commitment of SJF’s Board and member volunteers are essential elements as we move forward to new opportunities and challenges. I am proud to be part of this team serving as Acting Director.

In August, the Board will meet to review our options and decide whether to initiate an immediate search for a new Executive Director or hire an interim director.

Meanwhile, Social Justice Fund’s Board and staff are committed to carrying out SJF’s granting, programming, and fundraising work--fulfilling the organization’s mission, now in its 30th year, of raising funding and awareness of community-based organizations making social change in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies.
