Here at Social Justice Fund (SJF), we strive to further social change by funding grassroots activism, and by building a community of progressive philanthropists, like YOU! One of the things we value most at SJF is that we are a cross race, cross class membership. *All* of us are philanthropists, and we want to see positive, progressive change. In 2010, we want to see you more and learn from you. Will you help us?
We are hosting small gatherings to update our members on our Civic Action Initiative, and to ask our members to help us look into the next year: What can Social Justice Fund do to develop your own philanthropy?

Social Justice Fund NW and Western States Center are inviting you to join us for a donor briefing and happy hour in Portland! Come hear about Western States Center’s VOTE Project and Social Justice Fund’s Civic Action initiative and the impact they have had on our 2009 grantee groups. We will hear from Nancy Haque of WSC, Leno Rose-Avila of SJF and two of the grantees that are part of VOTE/Civic Action.
This will also be a great opportunity to meet and get to know other SJF members and the groups that are supported by the VOTE project and Civic Action initiative. Representatives of the groups will be in attendance and would love to talk to you more about their work.
Light appetizers and a drink will be provided.
