Social Justice Fund's Annual Dinner

2010 Date Is Determined!

Social Justice Fund invites you to join us at our annual event on October 23, 2010 at the Daybreak Star Center

If you are interested in working with us to help plan this event, are interested in being a sponsor, or have any other questions, please contact Uma Rao in the SJF office.

Each year, we present two awards to individuals in our community.  Members are welcome to nominate individuals that they believe would be great candidates.  If you would like to nominate someone, send the nomination with a brief description of the candidate's relevant contributions or accomplishments to Leno Rose-Avila. Click here to see a list of past recipients.

The David R. Hunter  - Connie Pious Award is given annually to an SJF member who has devoted long-term service to the foundation and its work. The award was named to honor an SJF founder, lifelong community activist and former Director of the Stern Family Fund and the Ottinger Foundation. David based his career on creating progressive, collaborative philanthropy.

The Jeannette Rankin Award is given annually to a lifelong activist who has served the SJF region of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Washington and Oregon. This award embodies the hard work, dedication, and strong spirit of the community activist. The award is named in honor of the first woman to serve in Congress, from the state of Montana, who served as a community organizer, labor activist, and lifelong peace activist.
