Born in Ethiopia and raised in Seattle, Rahel grew up balancing two different cultures. Her experience of injustice in the U.S. and abroad led her down to a path in the nonprofit sector. She’s worked in nonprofit management, social services, and donor relations in refugee and immigrant communities locally and globally. Rahel co-founded and serves on the board of an international nonprofit focused on eradicating poverty through education provision for underprivileged children in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. She is passionate about social justice, especially issues impacting POC communities. During her spare time, Rahel enjoys traveling, listening to podcasts, and working on stationery projects.
