We know how crucial it is to build collective power, raise money, and leverage those funds into our own communities. We also know there are many systemic barriers to economic access for people of color. Whether you’re new to fundraising, experienced but need a reboot or refresher, or are in the middle of a fundraising campaign right now, this workshop will be a great way to dig into those issues with other people of color.

Join us for Funding Our Own Liberation, a Grassroots Fundraising Workshop for People of Color in Portland. Together, we’ll strengthen our skills as storytellers, fundraisers and agents for change within our community. Register today!

WHEN: Sunday, June 10, 10am-4:00pm
WHERE: El Centro Milagro in the El Zócalo Space: 525 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97214
COST: Free, Lunch will be provided for attendees.

Childcare available only if requested by June 1st.

This event is for People of Color only.* Feel free to invite friends who identify as people of color and are interested in connecting with SJF. (But please make sure they register too!)

*Why is this event for people of color (POC) only? Social Justice Fund NW is a multiracial organization, and almost all of our programs, meetings, and events are intentionally multiracial. However, we know that many spaces in our society (and in the Northwest in particular) are overwhelmingly white, and sometimes a POC-only space can be an affirming and strengthening experience. White allies, thanks for understanding the need for this POC space. For white folks who have questions or would like to organize with other white people, please contact BW White at BW@socialjusticefund.org.
