Thank you for your interest in being a Table Captain at SJF’s 2021 Annual Celebration! This year, we’ll be using the “Group” feature on Eventbrite to help Table Captains invite, manage, and communicate with their guests. “Groups” and “Tables” are the same thing. Be sure to email Andriana (andriana@socialjusticefund.org) to let us know you’re in!

How to create a Table:

  • Navigate to the Eventbrite Registration page
  • Click “Register”
  • Select “As a group member”
  • Select “Create your group” and give it a name that your guests can search for later
  • Complete the registration process

Congratulations! You’re now the Team and Table Captain

How to edit a Table:

  • After registering your table, Eventbrite will send a confirmation to your email. Use the link in your email, or log into Eventbrite to access your individual Table page.
    • Hover over your email in the top right corner
    • Select “Tickets”
    • Scroll to “Groups and Fundraising” and click on your Table
  • Finish setting up your group by adding a picture, description, or changing the Table name if needed

Inviting guests:

  • The best way to invite guests is by using your individual Table page
    • Emailing guests through Eventbrite:
      • Click “Invite Group Members” in the center of the page, or the “Invite” link on the left side
    • Emailing guests individually:
      • Copy and use the Group link on your specific Group page
  • If your guest can’t or doesn’t want to use Eventbrite, you can register on their behalf and assign them to your Table. Be sure to use their email address for registration so they can log into the event.

FAQ

  • Can there be multiple Table Captains for one Table?
    • Metaphorically, yes! Technically, no. Eventbrite will only allow one person at a time to be the Table Captain. If the Table Captain needs to drop out of the role and switch it to another person, contact kaylen@socialjusticefund.org for further instructions
  • Can SJF staff add or remove guests from my Table?
    • Unfortunately, we can’t help manage your Table from behind the scenes. If you’re looking for technical support or more information on one of your guests, contact kaylen@socialjusticefund.org
