Social Justice Fund is pleased to announce the round one awardees of our Emerging Justice Fund Grant!
The Emerging Justice Fund (EJF) moves unrestricted funds to resource grassroots organizing for communities that have been and continue to be targeted by Federal, State, and Local policies. There will be five cycles of EJF in 2025, moving a total of $500,000. Congratulations to our first round of grantees:
Edúcate Ya Inc. | OR
The mission of Edúcate Ya is to facilitate multi-cultural exchange and address the integration challenges faced by Latinxs in Oregon through bilingual health, leadership, and education programs.
Entre Hermanos | WA
The mission of Entre Hermanos is to promote the health and well being of the Latino Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and questioning community in a culturally appropriate environment through disease prevention, education, support services, advocacy and community building.
Hunters of Color | OR
Hunters of Color works to create a more equitable outdoors community for People of Color by dismantling barriers to entry through educational opportunities, mentorships, and resources for new hunters.
Indigenous Idaho Alliance | ID
Founded in 2012, as part of a resistance against colonial oppressive socio-political systems, Indigenous Idaho Alliance seeks to empower a healthy, strong Indigenous community in Idaho. Their work asserts the sovereignty of all Indigenous people, and focuses on education, community care, awareness, and collaboration.
La Resistencia | WA
La Resistencia is a grassroots organization led by undocumented immigrants and People of Color that have been oppressed by the immigration enforcement system. Based in Washington State, La Resistencia works to end the detention of immigrations and stop deportations.
Manzanita House | WA
Embracing, equipping, and empowering immigrants and refugees. Since 2021, Manzanita House has served immigrants and refugees from more than 105 countries through three program umbrellas: Immigrant Legal Aid, Family Empowerment, Community Engagement.
MiA supports survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in a culturally responsive way. The organization provides a variety of serves to support survivors, including counseling or advocacy, housing support, emergency shelter, among others.
Participatory Justice organizes to end mass incarceration using participatory defense and transformative justice.
The Center for Global Muslim Life | WA
The Center for Global Muslim Life, an Americas-rooted nonprofit, is a 50-year project launched in 2020 focused on rebuilding Muslim communities (Ummah) in the midst of a global war. They do this by creating long-term narrative change through media production, community ecosystem building, and leadership training focused on social and spiritual impact work.
Weaving Fala | OR
Creating a welcoming space for everyone through community building, education, youth programs, cultural events and outreach. Weaving Fala incorporates cultural programming rooted in the strands of the Tongan Fala, and their initiatives focus on three core pillars: Education, Health, and Economic Opportunity.
