Social Justice Fund is pleased to announce the round one awardees of our 2025 Seed Grant cycles!
Seed grants will provide small unrestricted funds to new groups who are in the early stages of building their community work but do not yet meet all of SJF’s community organizing criteria, and may not yet qualify for our regular grants. There will be three cycles of Seed grants in 2025, moving a total of $75,000. Congratulations to our first round of grantees:
Call Bubbie | OR
Call Bubbie is a peer support organization created by and for transgender people, individuals of marginalized genders, and women who navigate non-consensus realities and/or suicidality.
Families Shoulder to Shoulder | WA
A criminal justice support network that provides support to individuals and families whose loved ones are facing legal charges. Families Shoulder to Shoulder revolves around participatory defense–involving families in the defense process to contribute to a more just legal system.
Stronger Together | WY
Building a supportive and inclusive community for LGBTQA individuals in Wyoming through advocacy, education, and outreach programs. Stronger Together initiatives focus on providing essential services, resources, and programs to empower marginalized groups.
Trans Affirm | ID
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting trans and gender-diverse individuals across Idaho. Trans Affirm provides essential resources, advocacy, and education to ensure their community has access to gender-affirming care, support networks, and vital services.
Washington United Migrant | WA
A nonprofit organization working across Washington State to support farmworkers and migrant communities in promoting sustainable development through programs that prioritize environmental sustainability and community empowerment.
York Collective | OR
York Collective designs a sense of place through collaborative programming and advocacy rooted in the principles of Black and Indigenous Liberation. Its mission is embodied in the York Urban Village, a community-led development project in Portland’s York District that honors Black history and its connections to regional tribal histories.
