2024 Environmental Justice Giving Project

The 2024 Giving Project will focus on Environmental Justice, making grants to support organizing work that aims to achieve equitable access to a clean and healthy environment for frontline communities most impacted by the climate crisis, environmental racism, and environmental injustice. 2023 Community Wealth Building Grant One time grant of $50,000
Deadline: October 26, 2023 by 11:59PM PT
The 2023 Community Wealth Building Grant will fund organizing that aims to address economic injustice, build power to transform unjust systems, and overcome barriers to wealth for individuals, families, and communities. A collaboration between SJF and the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, this grant is open to community-based projects based in Seattle (or conduct the majority of their work in/with Seattle communities).
The 2023 Reproductive Justice Grant One time grant of $17,500
Deadline: August 17, 2023 by 11:59PM PT
The 2023 Reproductive Justice Grant cycle will support grassroots, community organizing efforts that advance the movement for reproductive justice in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and/or Wyoming. These grants will support groups whose work increases access to self-determination, bodily autonomy, and reproductive/sexual health. We will prioritize funding organizations with Black, Indigenous, and/or POC leadership, and/or who conduct most of their work in reservation communities, and/or rural, small town communities.
The 2022 Queer Justice Momentum Giving Project Grant 2 year grant of $20,000/year, $40,000 total
Deadline: Wednesday, July 3 by 11:59PM PT
This grant will support groups led by LGBTQIA+ individuals, non-binary folks, and fem(me)s who are organizing against heterosexism, transmisogynoir, homophobia, cissexism, and working to build the liberation of groups who have been marginalized because of their sexual and/or gender identity in meaningful ways across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. We will prioritize funding organizations with Black, Indigenous, and/or POC leadership, and/or who conduct most of their work in rural, small town, and/or reservation communities.
