Solidarity Toward Liberation: SJF’s annual celebration, October 2, 2021!
Join Social Justice Fund NW and friends for a virtual evening of community and fundraising to celebrate the solidarity that forms the constellation of our movement.
Hear from SJF staff and grantees, local artists, and an exciting keynote speaker as we reflect on the power of solidarity to connect our struggles and bring us closer to liberation. We’ll have time for you to hang out with your friends and loved ones, give a toast to the power of social justice movements, and send some love SJF’s way. We can’t wait to party with you!
Note: ASL interpretation and captioning will be provided.
- Calling all Giving Project alumni, fans, and nerds! Hear from two Giving Project superstars, Sian O’Faolain, Co-Director of the national Giving Project Network and Babatunde Azubuike, alum of the Black Led Organizing Giving Project and Executive Director of grantee Black & Beyond the Binary Collective.
- Art! Poetry! Storytelling! We’re premiering ✨ a new video ✨ featuring the brilliance of grantees Wa Na Wari, PCUN, and Freedom Project. We’ll also have live performances from movement poets Ebo Barton and Troy Osaki.
- Movement solidarity! We’re celebrating movement solidarity, the incredible power of people across struggles showing up for each other materially to fight for liberation. We’ve invited all our guests to bring a little of that spirit into what they share, including a special message from writer, lawyer, and organizer Dean Spade, author of Mutual Aid.
*Have you heard about our Grantee Panel the Thursday (9/30) before our Annual Celebration?* Join us for an engaging conversation with current SJF grantees. Click here to RSVP.
