In response to coronavirus/COVID-19, Social Justice Fund launched an emergency fund to support Social Justice Fund grantees working to respond to the crisis. Initial grants are $3,000 and can support a variety of strategies to meet community needs and support mutual aid.

We understand that low-income families and individuals, service workers, business owners, API and  BIPOC communities are disproportionately impacted by the crisis. Community organizing is essential at this moment to counter racism and xenophobia, as well as to provide care, share resources, and ensure the most vulnerable populations can stay safe.

  • Must be a previous grantee of Social Justice Fund
  • Priority for BIPOC-led grantees

Individuals/Coalitions

  • Individuals – we can fund organizations that can make payments to individuals, but we are unable to fund individuals at this time

This crisis fund is intended to be more narrowly focused and faster (weekly instead of monthly) than our ongoing Rapid Response Fund, but those funds are still available.
