Grantees

VOZ Workers’ Rights Education Project (VOZ) is a worker-led organization based in Portland that empowers immigrants and day laborers to gain control over their working conditions through leadership development, organizing, and community education.

Portland Voz staff member Andrew Wirth, says, “Social Justice Fund’s investment has allowed us to make considerable strides in work on issues of criminal justice that affect day laborers and the immigrant community in Portland. It is not easy to find partners that believe in this type of work, which seeks to strike problems at the root and enact systemic change in the pursuit of justice. We are heartened to have the support of SJF and your community of donors and would not be able to do this type of work without you.”
